Amends Section 19-3-49 of Mississippi Code to allow Hancock County Board of Supervisors to pay a hired county prosecuting attorney up to 50% of the annual salary of the full-time district attorney, replacing the previous fixed salary of $45,000.

Removes the fixed $45,000 annual salary cap for Hancock County's hired prosecuting attorney and ties compensation to the district attorney's salary under Section 25-3-35.

Justifies the salary adjustment based on Hancock County's population growth (31,760 in 1990 to 42,967 in 2000 and continuing increases through 2018), addition of a third judge in 2004, and increased caseload in drug, alcohol, and mental commitment proceedings.

Notes that Hancock County created a county court in 2018, further increasing the county prosecutor's caseload and responsibilities.

Takes effect upon passage.
