Creates new Section 41-43-59 making it unlawful to make false or misleading statements in material respects in records used in actions, proceedings, or filings under Mississippi's Cemetery Law

Creates new Section 75-63-83 establishing the same prohibition against false or misleading material statements in records filed under the Preneed Cemetery and Funeral Registration Act

Violations of the Cemetery Law carry fines of $500 to $1,000, imprisonment up to one year in county jail, or both

Embezzlement or fraudulent misapplication of perpetual care trust funds under $1,000 is punishable by fines up to $500 and up to one year in county jail; amounts of $1,000 or more carry imprisonment up to 10 years
