Requires the Mississippi Department of Corrections to convert the Greenwood, Flowood, and Pascagoula Restitution Centers into post-release reentry centers for individuals eligible for release who lack immediate access to housing

Residents may stay at reentry centers for up to 90 days or until other housing becomes available, and participation is voluntary—eligible individuals cannot be detained for refusing placement

Department of Corrections must assist residents in obtaining housing, employment or job skills training, driver's licenses or state IDs, health care services, drug and alcohol treatment, educational services, and counseling

Exempts post-release reentry centers from the 3,000-foot residence restriction that prohibits registered sex offenders from living near schools, child care facilities, playgrounds, and other locations where minors congregate

Effective date of July 1, 2021
