Adds "subcommittee" to the definition of "public body" under Mississippi's Open Meetings Act, requiring subcommittees of government boards, commissions, and agencies to comply with open meeting requirements

Removes the exemption for legislative subcommittees from the Open Meetings Act, meaning they would now be subject to public meeting requirements (legislative conference committees remain exempt)

Applies to all state, political subdivision, and municipal entities that are supported by or expend public funds

Effective date of July 1, 2021
