Terminates membership in the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) for members convicted of or pleading guilty/nolo contendere to felonies related to their state employment committed on or after July 1, 2021.

Refunds accumulated contributions without interest to terminated members within 90 days of notification of conviction or plea by the employer.

Allows members charged with such crimes who retire before conviction to continue receiving retirement allowance until conviction/plea is final and all appeals conclude, then terminates the allowance.

Permits terminated members to continue participating in the State and School Employees Life and Health Insurance Plan under retired employee coverage conditions.

Becomes effective July 1, 2021.
