Expands the definition of "telemedicine" to include HIPAA-compliant telecommunications systems, remote monitoring technologies, and store-and-forward transfers, replacing the previous requirement for only "real-time" interactive audio/video consultation

Removes the previous exclusion of audio-only telephone, email, and facsimile from the telemedicine definition

Requires all health insurance and employee benefit plans in Mississippi to cover telemedicine services at the same level as in-person consultations

Prohibits insurers from charging higher deductibles, co-payments, or coinsurance for telemedicine services than for in-person visits

Effective date of July 1, 2021, with a repeal date of June 30, 2021 (note: this appears to be a drafting error in the bill text)
