Prohibits employers from paying employees of one sex a lower wage than employees of the opposite sex for equal work requiring equal skill, effort, and responsibility under similar working conditions

Allows wage differentials based on seniority systems, merit systems, quantity or quality of production, or any factor other than sex

Creates a private right of action allowing aggrieved employees to file petitions in Mississippi circuit court

Awards remedies consistent with federal Title VII or Title IX for employers found in violation

Effective date of July 1, 2021
