Requires the State Board of Education, Board of Trustees for State Institutions of Higher Learning, and Mississippi Community College Board to jointly develop a socialism curriculum for secondary and postsecondary students starting in the 2021-2022 school year

Mandates the course as a graduation requirement at both educational levels

Secondary students must complete a one-semester course worth one-half Carnegie unit; postsecondary students must complete a one-semester, three-credit-hour course

Curriculum must compare capitalism and socialism in theory and practice, exploring their relationship to democracy through normative, analytical, and historical perspectives

Course will use tools from moral philosophy, economics, social choice theory, and comparative historical sociology
