State Department of Health shall issue a certificate of need for a freestanding comprehensive medical rehabilitation facility in Rankin County with not more than 40 beds providing both Level I and Level II services.

Application must request only the number of Level I beds within recognized need in the 2018 State Health Plan, with remaining beds up to 40 total designated as Level II beds.

Waives the requirement for minimum 60 beds and the 45-mile restriction on Level II beds that would normally apply under state health planning rules.

Waives any State Health Plan restrictions on freestanding facilities combining Level I and II beds, though all other certificate of need requirements remain applicable.

Effective July 1, 2021.
