Appropriates $1,874,678 from the State General Fund to the Department of Public Safety for constructing, staffing, and equipping a new regional Mississippi Forensics Laboratory in Corinth, Mississippi for fiscal year 2022

Allocates $1,300,000 for facility construction

Allocates $470,888 for personnel salaries and fringe benefits, plus $103,790 for contract employees

Authorizes 5 full-time permanent positions at the new facility

Effective date of July 1, 2021, with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022
