Restores voting rights to Edna Barnett of Jones County, Mississippi, who lost the right to vote due to criminal convictions.

Barnett was convicted of Shoplifting on September 19, 2006, and sentenced to four years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, followed by one year probation; she was released to probation on November 16, 2008.

Barnett received a second Shoplifting conviction on September 29, 2011, with a sentence of one year and three years probation, which was extended by two years for absconding supervision.

Barnett completed all terms and conditions of her sentences and was discharged on April 15, 2019, and has since conducted herself as a law-abiding citizen.

The act takes effect upon passage.
