Increases the Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training from 13 to 14 members

Reduces Governor-appointed members from 6 to 5, changing the requirement from two municipal police chiefs to one

Increases ex officio/association members from 7 to 9 by adding the President of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police (or designee) and a chief of police appointed by that association

Updates gendered language throughout the statute, changing "his" to "his or her" and "chairman" to "chair"

Board members continue to serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for actual expenses including mileage
