MS HB1501

Expands the boundaries of the Marshall Utility Services Sewer District in Marshall County, Mississippi to include additional land in Townships 1-3 South, Ranges 3-5 West that has been franchised to Marshall Utility Services by the Public Service Commission.

Establishes a detailed legal boundary description for the district beginning at the Mississippi-Tennessee state line on MS Highway 309 and encompassing approximately 9 section miles east-west and 4 section miles north-south.

Designates the Marshall County Board of Supervisors as the governing authority for the district with all powers granted to wastewater districts under Mississippi Code Section 19-5-151 et seq.

Exempts the district's property and revenue from all state, county, and municipal taxation.

Takes effect upon passage and amends previous versions of the Marshall Utility Services Sewer District law from 2011, 2012, and 2013.
