Allows members of the Enforcement Officers' Reserve Unit to serve with optional pay rather than requiring unpaid service, and removes the restriction preventing reserve members from being excluded from state benefits programs.

Removes the prohibition against reserve members simultaneously serving in police, auxiliary police, civil defense, or private security agencies.

Authorizes enforcement officers to protect critical infrastructures related to homeland security threats in addition to their seafood law enforcement duties.

Changes reserve unit oversight from the executive director to the Chief of Marine Patrol or their designee for directing operations and approving meeting notifications.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
