Brings forward existing Mississippi Code sections 17-23-1 and 17-23-11 regarding the Rural Fire Truck Acquisition Assistance Programs for possible future amendment, without making substantive changes to current law

The primary program allows counties to receive up to $830,000 total for fire truck purchases: $50,000 per truck for the first 6 trucks, $70,000 per truck for trucks 7-11, and $90,000 per truck for trucks 12-13

A supplementary program provides up to $70,000 per fire truck for counties that have exhausted all applications under the primary program

Counties and municipalities must provide matching funds equal to at least 1/10 of the requested amount annually over a period not exceeding 10 years to qualify for assistance

All fire trucks purchased must be new and meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1900 series standards, with the Department of Insurance administering both programs
