Defines "motor carrier safety improvement" as any device, equipment, software, technology, procedure, training, policy, program or operational practice intended to improve compliance with traffic safety or motor carrier safety laws, or enhance vehicle or operator safety.

Prohibits consideration of motor carrier safety improvements in determining whether an individual is classified as an employee, independent contractor, or jointly employed employee under Mississippi state law.

Applies the prohibition regardless of whether safety improvements are deployed directly by a motor carrier or required through contract with a related entity.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
