Requires all applicants for Mississippi home inspector licenses and license renewals to undergo fingerprint-based criminal history background checks through both state and FBI databases, effective July 1, 2021

Prohibits issuing a license to applicants who had a home inspector license revoked in any jurisdiction within the past 5 years, or who have been convicted of felonies involving fraud, dishonesty, breach of trust, or money laundering

Designates criminal history records obtained through background checks as confidential and exempt from public records requests, with limited exceptions for commission hearings or court orders

Applicants holding multiple licenses under the same commission's jurisdiction are only required to pay for one background check per calendar year

Adds failure to submit to or pass a background investigation as grounds for the commission to refuse, revoke, or suspend a home inspector license
