Expands immunity from civil and criminal liability for persons who make good faith child abuse or neglect reports to also cover those who participate in resulting investigations, evaluations, or judicial proceedings

Grants limited civil liability immunity to child advocacy centers and multidisciplinary child protection team members when acting in good faith within their official team duties

Protected activities include referring abuse reports for investigation, conducting investigations, making investigative judgments or dispositions, and releasing information to protect a child

Immunity applies only when child advocacy centers or team members are acting on behalf of or within the scope of duties for the multidisciplinary team

Effective date: July 1, 2021
