Board of supervisors may require persons opening garbage or rubbish collection accounts to provide a valid social security card, driver's license, or state identification number effective July 1, 2021.

Commissioner of Public Safety shall not issue or renew a driver's license for any person delinquent on garbage fees unless those fees are paid, with payment of delinquent garbage fees required as a condition of receiving or renewing a driver's license.

Board of supervisors may provide delinquent garbage fee information to consumer credit reporting agencies after proper notice and hearing opportunity are given to the delinquent party.

County officials must notify the Commissioner of Public Safety of unpaid garbage fees within 90 days of delinquency and coordinate with the driver's license office regarding nonrenewal procedures.

Delinquency decisions by the board of supervisors may be appealed according to Section 11-51-75 of Mississippi Code.
