Requires pharmacies to use the National Precursor Log Exchange (NPLEx) system to electronically verify purchases and generate stop-sale alerts when limits are exceeded; products must be stored behind the counter

Purchasers must be at least 18 years old, present valid government-issued identification, and sign an electronic or written log for each transaction

Residents of states requiring prescriptions for these products may only purchase with a valid prescription in Mississippi

Violations are misdemeanors punishable by fines up to $1,000 for first offense and up to $10,000 for subsequent offenses; the act takes effect January 1, 2022, and repeals July 1, 2023
