Authorizes public library boards of trustees to accept credit cards, debit cards, charge cards, and other electronic payment methods for fees and accounts receivable

Requires electronic payment processing fees to be assessed to the user as an additional charge, so the library does not absorb the cost

Electronic payment policies must comply with standards established by the State Auditor

Preserves existing law allowing libraries to disclose patron information and collect fines for overdue books, documents, films, and other materials

Effective date: July 1, 2021
