Prohibits state agencies administering assistance, benefits, or services programs from publicly disclosing personal information that would reveal applicants' identities

Protected information includes name, residential and mailing addresses, email, telephone number, educational background, employment history, and names of relatives

Requires agencies to redact all identifying information before providing any applicant data to persons or entities outside the agency

Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by fines of $1,000 to $5,000, up to 6 months in county jail, or both

Effective date of July 1, 2021
