Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-37-30 to add a new subsection prohibiting willful discharge of firearms near businesses or property containing flammable or explosive petroleum products.

Creates a felony offense punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 5 years in the Department of Corrections for violating the petroleum products prohibition.

Retains existing misdemeanor provision for willfully discharging a firearm toward another's dwelling causing property damage, with penalties of up to $1,000 fine and/or 12 months county jail.

Updates gender-specific language in the statute from "his" to "his or her" throughout the section.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
