State Board of Education must develop a civics curriculum for public high schools focused on citizenship and constitutional democracy responsibilities, with implementation required by the 2022-2023 school year.

State Board of Education must develop a home economics curriculum for public high schools to be implemented by the 2022-2023 school year, with required coursework in responsible parenting, family living skills, and child development.

State funding must be provided through the adequate education program and vocational education appropriation bills to support at least one home economics instructor in each high school statewide.

Home economics curriculum instruction must cover children's physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development, with emphasis on nutrition, emotional health and physical health.

The act takes effect July 1, 2021.
