Expands grandparent visitation rights under Mississippi Code sections 93-16-1 through 93-16-7 to include great-grandparents seeking visitation with minor children.

Allows great-grandparents to petition for visitation rights when a parent dies, custody is awarded, or parental rights are terminated, using the same procedures as grandparents.

Permits great-grandparents not authorized under primary provisions to petition for visitation if they have established a viable relationship with the child and visitation is in the child's best interests.

Defines "viable relationship" for great-grandparents as financial support for six months, frequent visitation including overnight stays for one year, or significant caregiving during parental absence due to jail or military duty.

Effective July 1, 2021; also amends section 93-5-24 to reference natural great-grandparents in custody proceedings involving suitable third parties.
