Allows disabled veterans to appeal court cases without paying fees (in forma pauperis) when creditors attempt to collect debts from their VA, Social Security, or other disability benefits

Requires veterans to file a motion with an affidavit proving disabled veteran status; if denied, the trial court must provide written reasons for the denial

Permits disabled veterans who were granted in forma pauperis status at trial to automatically continue that status on appeal without additional authorization

Allows veterans 30 days to file a motion with the Mississippi Supreme Court if the trial court denies their in forma pauperis request

Effective date of July 1, 2021
