Removes the $500,000 cap on damages for wrongfully convicted and incarcerated persons in Mississippi.

Maintains the $50,000 per year of incarceration compensation rate with payments made in annual installments or through annuity purchase.

Provides attorney's fees of 10% for claim preparation, 20% if contested, and 25% if appealed, paid separately from claimant compensation.

Exempts wrongful conviction awards from all civil lawsuit damage caps and state income taxes (except attorney fees portion).

Effective July 1, 2021.
