Amends Section 37-13-8 to require local school boards to designate a period at the beginning of each school day for voluntary recitation of the "Lord's Prayer"

Permits students and others to voluntarily participate in the prayer period, which is not to be conducted as a religious service or exercise

Affirms existing law under Sections 37-13-4 and 37-13-4.1 allowing voluntary student-initiated prayer on school property during assemblies, sporting events, graduations, and other school-related events

Clarifies that the prayer period and student prayer activities do not constitute state endorsement or establishment of religion

Effective date is July 1, 2021
