Increases the minimum annual salary for assistant teachers in school districts rated C, D, or F under the accountability system by $1,500 per assistant teacher (raising the base minimum from $14,000 to $15,500).

The salary supplement continues to apply to assistant teachers even if the school district's accountability rating improves above a C rating.

Effective July 1, 2021.

Applies to the Mississippi Elementary Schools Assistant Teacher Program, which provides early childhood education support in kindergarten through third grade.
