Issues an apology from the State of Mississippi to Curtis Flowers for his prosecution in a murder case in which he was tried six times and imprisoned for 23 years before charges were dismissed in September 2020.

Flowers' final conviction was overturned by the United States Supreme Court based on racial discrimination by the prosecution in jury selection, after which the state Attorney General moved to dismiss all charges.

Mississippi Supreme Court had previously overturned Flowers' first three convictions (two resulting in death sentences), and his fourth and fifth trials ended in hung juries before his sixth trial conviction in 2010.

Resolution expresses the state's deepest sorrow for the unjust experience and directs that the apology be presented to Flowers and his family, forwarded to the Attorney General, Prosecutors Association, and Montgomery County Board of Supervisors.
