Honors his educational background including a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University (1963) and master's degree from North Carolina State University (1967), along with his service as a member of the Starkville School District Board of Trustees

Acknowledges his election as Mayor of Starkville in 2005, earning him the nickname "Mayor of the Cotton District"

Expresses sympathy to his survivors including wife Gemma T. Camp, sons Robert A. Camp and Frederick Bonn Camp, granddaughters, and siblings
