Commends and congratulates Chief of Police David Eldridge on his retirement from the Kilmichael Police Department after 33 years of service

Recognizes Chief Eldridge's career highlights including graduation from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Academy, appointment by Governor Haley Barbour to the Minimum Standards Training Board, and service as chaplain of the Mississippi Police Chief's Association

Acknowledges his prior public service as a charter member of the Kilmichael Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years and as a justice of the peace and later justice court judge in Montgomery County beginning in 1974

Honors his family including his late wife Frankie K. Floyd (married 48 years until her passing in 2016), two children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Chief David Eldridge and members of the Capitol Press Corps
