Commends Representative Sara Richardson Thomas of Sunflower upon her retirement from the Mississippi House of Representatives on June 30, 2018, after 21 consecutive years of service representing House District 31.

Recognizes her educational background including a bachelor's degree and master's degree in elementary education from Mississippi Valley State University, and a master's degree in administration and supervision from Mississippi State University.

Honors her service on numerous House committees including Agriculture, Education (as vice chairperson 2008-2012), Youth and Family Affairs (as vice chairperson 2012-2016), and Tourism (as vice chairperson 2006-2008 and 2017-2018).

Acknowledges her community involvement and memberships in organizations including Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Mississippi Retired Teachers Association, and the NAACP.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Representative Thomas and the Capitol Press Corps.
