Commemorates the 100th anniversary of Troop 8, Boy Scouts of America, chartered in 1921 by First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi.

Recognizes Troop 8 as the oldest continually chartered troop in Mississippi and among the oldest in the nation, having awarded over 660 Eagle Scouts since 1923.

Acknowledges Troop 8's mission to develop character, adventure, leadership, and faith in young men through Christ-centered mentoring and community service.

Notes Troop 8's consistent achievement of Gold Level Journey to Excellence Awards and recognition as the only unit to earn the Association of Baptists in Scouting Unit Award of Excellence for three consecutive years.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Troop 8, the Board of Elders of First Baptist Church of Jackson, and the Capitol Press Corps.
