Commends and congratulates Asya Branch for being crowned Miss USA 2020 on November 9, 2020, becoming the first Mississippian to win the title.

Recognizes Branch as the first African-American woman to be named Miss Mississippi USA and notes her previous titles including Miss Mississippi 2018 and Miss All-American City 2017.

Acknowledges Branch's platform of "Empowering Children of Incarcerated Parents," based on her personal experience as a child of an incarcerated parent.

Extends best wishes for Branch's representation of the United States at the Miss Universe Pageant 2021 and her future endeavors.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Asya Branch and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
