Commends Joe Robinson, Chief Porter of the Mississippi House of Representatives, for more than 25 years of dedicated service to the House.

Joe Robinson began as a part-time porter in 1995, became full-time in 1997, was promoted to porter supervisor in 1999, and became Chief Porter in 2003.

As Chief Porter, Robinson was responsible for preparing the House chamber for daily business, ordering supplies, providing concierge services to representatives and staff, and supervising porter staff.

Robinson served under three Speakers and five Governors, and worked through extended sessions including those for Medical Malpractice Tort Reform (2002), Hurricane Katrina (2005), and COVID-19 mitigation (2020).

Robinson's retirement is effective June 30, 2021, and the House extends best wishes for his future endeavors.
