Creates a criminal offense for willfully burning the United States flag in public, punishable by a $500 fine, 30 days in county jail, or both

Penalties are in addition to existing penalties under Section 97-7-39 (Mississippi's flag desecration statute)

Exempts proper disposal of worn or soiled flags from the prohibition

Effective date of July 1, 2021
