Creates new requirement for school districts to provide assistant teachers written notice of nonreemployment no later than June 30 or within 10 calendar days after the local school board adopts the district's annual budget for the forthcoming academic year, whichever date is earlier.

Amends Section 37-9-105, Mississippi Code of 1972, which establishes timelines for notifying various types of school employees (principals, teachers, administrators, professional educators) of nonreemployment.

Provides that interim conservators and school boards acting on financial advisor recommendations are exempt from the time limitation requirements for recommending reemployment of employees covered by this section.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
