Amends Section 25-3-9 of Mississippi Code to add a new subsection (vv) specifically addressing Jackson County prosecuting attorney salaries.

Allows the Jackson County Board of Supervisors to pay a part-time county prosecuting attorney an annual salary of $39,000.00.

Permits the Board to employ the county prosecuting attorney on a full-time basis and pay up to 90% of the annual salary of county court judges, with authority to also employ a full-time secretary at a salary determined by the board.

Specifies that any full-time salary authorized under this provision shall be the sole and complete salary paid by the county for the prosecuting attorney, regardless of other law provisions.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
