Failure to pay court-ordered guardian ad litem fees will no longer be punishable as contempt of court, but instead will be treated as a civil debt enforceable through writs of attachment or garnishment

Applies to guardian ad litem appointments in multiple contexts: general court proceedings, youth court cases involving minors, custody and child support disputes, termination of parental rights, contested adoptions, and parental child sexual abuse cases

Amends six sections of Mississippi Code (9-5-89, 43-21-121, 93-11-65, 93-15-107, 93-17-8, and 97-5-42) to conform enforcement provisions across different types of proceedings

Effective date is July 1, 2021
