Authorizes the Secretary of State to designate certain employees to carry concealed weapons while performing investigative or regulatory enforcement functions

Adds Secretary of State employees to the existing list of state officials and employees exempt from concealed weapon restrictions, which includes Attorney General investigators, district attorney criminal investigators, Department of Corrections employees, and State Auditor employees

Requires designated employees to complete a weapons training course approved by the Board of Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training before carrying a weapon

Effective date of July 1, 2021
