Adds licensed athletic trainers with Board Certification from the Board of Certification, Inc. to the list of school employees eligible for an annual $6,000 salary supplement plus fringe benefits.

Requires athletic trainers to submit documentation of their board certification to the State Department of Education by October 15 to receive the full supplement in the current school year, or by February 15 for a prorated supplement beginning the second term.

Limits the total number of licensed athletic trainers eligible for the salary supplement to twenty (20) per school year.

Provides one-time reimbursement for actual costs of completing the board certification process, up to $500 per component and four components maximum, which the State Department of Education shall reimburse to local school districts.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
