Amends Section 37-151-5 of Mississippi Code to clarify that "average daily attendance" for adequate education funding purposes includes any day when a student is absent due to sickness or injury.

Requires students absent due to sickness or injury to be reported as in attendance even if they do not meet the standard 63% instructional day participation requirement.

Applies to calculations under the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP) and funding levels for school districts.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
