Authorizes justice court judges to impose a $50.00 sanction on county prosecuting attorneys who fail to appear in court when scheduled

Sanction applies only when the county prosecuting attorney had sufficient notice of the court date through the required coordination process between judges and prosecutors

County prosecuting attorneys can avoid the sanction by providing reasonable notice of their absence to the justice court judge via motion, letter, or electronic means

Requires justice court judges and county prosecuting attorneys to confer on court dates and schedule courts as far apart as possible to enable prosecutor attendance

Effective date: July 1, 2021
