MS SB2529

Amends Mississippi Code Section 37-16-7 to limit end-of-course assessments required for high school graduation to only those mandated by federal law.

District school boards must still establish graduation standards including minimum academic skills mastery, completion of minimum academic credits, and other board-prescribed requirements.

Maintains existing requirements for high schools with graduation rates below 80% to submit detailed restructuring plans to the Mississippi Department of Education.

Effective July 1, 2021.
