Removes criminal penalties for possession of 70 grams (approximately 2.5 ounces) or less of marijuana in Mississippi

Increases the threshold for criminal marijuana possession from 30 grams to 70 grams across multiple sections of state law

Maintains existing penalties for possession of more than 70 grams, including fines up to $1,000 and up to 1 year in county jail for 70-250 grams

Continues to apply criminal penalties for synthetic cannabinoids at existing thresholds (10 grams or less remains a fine-only offense)

Amends related statutes including the Medical Emergency Good Samaritan Act and state military code to conform with the new marijuana possession threshold, effective July 1, 2021
