Requires the State of Mississippi and political subdivisions to compensate nonexempt law enforcement officers at their regular hourly rate for the first 43 hours per week, 86 hours per two-week period, or 171 hours per 28-day period.

Permits compensation for these hours through hour-for-hour compensatory time that cannot be forfeited, with time granted off with pay or paid out at the officer's current hourly rate.

Requires payment for all earned compensatory time upon separation of employment based on the officer's current regular hourly rate.

Mandates compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act requirements for any hours worked in excess of the specified thresholds.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
