Increases the minimum teacher salary scale, requiring that beginning in the 2022-2023 school year the minimum salary shall equal at minimum the southeastern average salary for certified teachers.

Establishes the minimum teacher salary schedule based on the index in effect as of July 1, 2021, for the 2022-2023 school year and subsequent years.

Increases the minimum annual salary for teacher assistants to $15,300.00 for the 2021-2022 school year, with subsequent years required to equal at minimum the southeastern average salary for teacher assistants.

Maintains existing provisions for salary supplements to teachers with National Board Certification and other educational credentials, and includes mentor teacher compensation.

Effective July 1, 2021.
