Prohibits principals and teachers from telling students, teachers, or staff that an active shooter drill is real at any point before, during, or after the drill

Requires public schools to develop and conduct active shooter drills within the first 60 days of each new school semester

Applies to all students, teachers, and staff participating in the drills

Amends Section 37-11-5 of Mississippi Code of 1972, which already requires fire drills and emergency management instruction

Effective date: July 1, 2021
