Increases the hourly rate the State Auditor may charge for performing audits from $35.00 to $50.00 per man-hour, effective July 1, 2021.

Specifies that costs for independent specialist firms contracted by the State Auditor shall be paid directly by the audited entity to the specialist or firm as determined by the State Auditor.

Updates Section 7-7-211 to align audit cost recovery procedures with the revised fee structure in Section 7-7-213.

Clarifies that audit costs for municipalities, counties, school districts, and other local government entities shall be paid according to the updated fee schedule outlined in Section 7-7-213.
